Move Along Coffee

Move along is a refreshing coffee shop to have in the neighborhood. The owner takes the time to ask you how your day is going while he whips up some delicious coffee. True coffee enthusiasts will appreciate the flavorful espresso where you can actually taste the notes of the beans. It is rare to find a coffee shop where both the coffee is phenomenal and the owner heightens the experience because you can tell he enjoys what he does and interacting with each customer. Not often done in today’s world, but one of many things that keeps me coming back week after week (if not day after day).

Great drinks and somehow even better service. It never ceases to amaze me how simple an interaction of being asked, how’s your day going, can elevate an establishment from good to great. Taking the time out of his day to interact with the customers so you don’t feel like you are trying to be gotten rid of. The drinks were delicious and I would definitely recommend.

Best service I’ve had in a long time! The owner is very polite and genuine with each customer making them feel welcome. Not to mention, the coffee is great! The doughnuts were the real show stoppers. Holy cow they were so delicious! We had pistachio orange, cookie butter, and apple and they were incredible. I can’t wait to go back. I’m hoping to make this more of a regular spot!

Great coffee. Great pastries. Great people. Great conversation. We go 3-4 times a week. It’s well worth the wait if there’s a short line! Ian is amazing and so, so kind.

There are some places that really make you (and help you) feel like home when your first home is miles and miles away. Move along is definitely one of those places, even without having a seating space, it really doesn’t need it: the coffee is strong, the pastries are magic and the service is so warm and welcoming you won’t miss a thing. Definitely one of the best spots in Chicago

I hesitate to write this because I selfishly don’t want people to find out about this gem... but one of the BEST coffee shops in the city! The French onion pastry is incredible! As a heads up, there is usually a line on weekends and there are no seats / pick up only. Highly highly recommend!

Literally writing this from my car across the street after sipping our drinks and eating our pastries, it’s that good!! I got the maple latte which was technically not on the menu anymore but Ian was kind enough to still make for me. Incredible! The French onion croissant and pistachio orange donut were so unique and delicious. Not to mention the service is so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!
